Driver, Commercial Vehicle Operations & DOT Compliance
Overview
You will drive cars, buses, or similar vehicles to transport personnel and visitors at one of the largest aviation services companies in the world. As a Driver at WFS Express, you'll operate across 164 airport locations, ensuring safe and timely movement of people and cargo. You'll assist passengers with boarding, handle luggage, and maintain vehicle readiness. This role demands strict adherence to DOT regulations and a focus on safety. You'll be part of a global team with opportunities for internal mobility and growth.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive vehicles to transport personnel and visitors safely to their destinations.
- 2Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, including holding umbrellas during inclement weather.
- 3Load and unload baggage and luggage, ensuring secure handling and placement.
- 4Keep vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition, performing regular inspections.
- 5Fuel vehicles and check fluid levels, reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance.
- 6Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) Daily Driver’s Logs accurately and on time.
- 7Perform miscellaneous errands in support of company operations as directed.
- 8Comply with all DOT regulations and safety protocols, including random drug testing.
Requirements9
- 1Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 2Possess a HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent; or 1-3 months related experience or training.
- 3Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT medical certificate.
- 4Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- 5Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
- 6Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide using units of U.S. money and measurement.
- 7Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
- 8Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- 9Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
