Draft Beer Technician Job
Overview
You will own the monthly maintenance route for ACME Dispensing Service, servicing breweries, bars, and restaurants across San Francisco. You will diagnose and repair draft systems using CO2 and nitrogen setups, backed by a team with 15 years of industry leadership. What You'll Do8
- 1Complete monthly draft maintenance routes across San Francisco, cleaning and inspecting beer lines and faucets.
- 2Diagnose and repair draft system issues, including couplers, regulators, and kegerators, on-site.
- 3Install new draft systems, performing line runs and pressure testing with CO2 and nitrogen.
- 4Document service visits and report issues to the dispatch team using a company-provided app.
- 5Communicate with bar and restaurant staff to schedule service windows and explain maintenance needs.
- 6Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools in your vehicle, restocking weekly.
- 7Drive between stops across multiple SF neighborhoods, with occasional out-of-city assignments.
- 8Perform quality checks on draft systems, ensuring proper temperature and carbonation levels.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in draft maintenance, repair, or installation, or equivalent mechanical training.
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for daily routes.
- 3Smartphone with data plan for routing and client communication.
- 4Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in tight crawl spaces under bars.
- 5Comfort with basic hand tools and multimeter for electrical diagnostics.
- 6Willingness to complete Beer Institute draft line cleaning certification within 90 days.
- 7Flexible schedule, including weekend rotations for special events.
- 8Local candidate residing within 30 miles of San Francisco.
