What You'll Do9
- 1Provide comprehensive oversight of campus physical safety programs spanning hazard management and regulatory compliance
- 2Ensure full adherence to local state and federal regulations through proactive risk identification and root cause analysis
- 3Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing safety team focusing on staffing and operational excellence
- 4Align site-specific safety objectives with global Roche sustainability policies adapting to evolving operations
- 5Serve as principal safety advisor to senior leadership translating strategy into actionable business goals
- 6Cultivate collaborative relationships with regulatory agencies and cross-functional partners to influence decision-making
- 7Architect long-term environmental strategies and contingency frameworks to mitigate operational risks
- 8Maintain compliance with Cal/OSHA federal and local requirements through deep technical knowledge
- 9Develop technical guidance and mentorship for SHE staff leveraging expertise in physical safety programs
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering physical science life science engineering health & safety or related field
- 212+ years of progressive SHE experience in safety health and environment roles
- 3Physical safety experience in high-hazard manufacturing pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
- 4Professional certification such as CSP or PE preferred
- 5Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with regulatory agencies and senior operations leaders
