Overview
Landscape design and build leadership for estate-scale residential projects in the Greater Boston area. Own design development, permitting, budgeting, and field execution from concept to final installation. Lead design teams, coordinate architects and engineers, and ensure safety, schedule, and high quality outcomes. This role blends creative vision with practical project management and client leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead projects from concept through construction completion and deliver luxury residential landscapes
- 2Prepare and oversee construction documents including grading drainage planting layout and hardscape details
- 3Manage project budgets subcontractor bidding procurement and cost control
- 4Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
- 5Coordinate architects engineers consultants contractors and project stakeholders
- 6Oversee field operations ensuring quality schedule and design intent
- 7Manage permitting processes including conservation wetlands and zoning approvals
- 8Support continuous improvement of design standards and project delivery processes
- 9Mentor junior designers and streamline design-to-construction handoffs
- 10Ensure site safety and compliance with local regulations
Requirements10
- 17+ years of experience managing high-end residential landscape design-build projects
- 2Experience managing projects valued at $500K-$1M+
- 3Proven experience overseeing both design and construction execution
- 4Experience soliciting evaluating and negotiating subcontractor bids
- 5Strong client communication and leadership skills
- 6Proficiency in preparing construction-level documentation
- 7Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Boston and South Shore areas
- 8MassachusettsRegistered Landscape Architect or eligibility for licensure (preferred)
- 9Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- 10Experience with Massachusetts conservation wetlands and zoning permitting

$130 - $165k per year
