What You'll Do11
- 1Plan and oversee staff workload to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards through visual and written inspections
- 2Develop and manage housekeeping and laundry budgets
- 3Implement expense controls and conduct inventory of guest supplies and linens
- 4Schedule labor flexibly based on occupancy forecasts and special events
- 5Interview and train employees while handling performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
- 6Communicate clearly with guests and staff to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction
- 7Coordinate preventative maintenance and coordinate with facilities teams
- 8Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company policies
- 9Maintain accurate records and reports on housekeeping operations
- 10Collaborate with department leaders to achieve organizational goals
- 11Drive initiatives that improve guest experience and internal processes
Requirements10
- 15+ years management experience with 3+ years specifically in housekeeping management
- 2Proven track record managing in-house laundry operations
- 3Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations
- 4Ability to resolve conflicts between guests supervisors and associates
- 5Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
- 6Willingness to pitch-in and support colleagues as needed
- 7Strong communication abilities in verbal and written forms
- 8Understanding of hotel operations including marketing plans and safety programs
- 9Experience with budget forecasting and quality assurance programs
- 10Knowledge of hospitality law and long-range planning principles
