Director of Dining Services at Sheridan Eastside
Overview
You will own daily dining operations at a senior living community, serving hundreds of residents with ServSafe-certified standards. You will direct a team of dining staff, manage purchasing and budgets, and ensure compliance with health regulations. What You'll Do9
- 1Oversee daily dining operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures for all staff.
- 2Purchase food and nonfood items, achieving 95% DSSI ordering compliance and managing supply budgets.
- 3Balance raw food and supply budgets to meet financial targets while maintaining quality.
- 4Implement company standard recipes and ensure proper food temperatures and portion sizes for safety and palatability.
- 5Offer residents prescribed diets and choice, dignity, and independence in dining per hospitality policies.
- 6Develop and implement operating and cleaning procedures, and conduct pre-meal stand-ups to review menus.
- 7Ensure compliance with local, state, and county health regulations and act as dietary representative for inspections.
- 8Complete monthly self-sanitation audits and maintain clean, safe dining areas.
- 9Interview, hire, train, and manage dining staff, including scheduling to stay within labor budgets.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of food service experience required.
- 2Management experience preferred but not required.
- 3ServSafe certification or other required local, county, or state certifications.
- 4Ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
- 5Positive and professional attitude with clear, respectful direction.
- 6Pride in food quality and presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- 7Patience and effective communication with diverse personalities.
