Lead Banquet operations at Pendry San Diego overseeing recruitment training scheduling staffing and supervising all banquet activities. Drive operational excellence and create memorable guest experiences.
What You'll Do11
- 1Own daily banquet operations including recruitment training scheduling and supervision of all staff
- 2Act as liaison for the hotel and client point of contact during events
- 3Develop and maintain policies training manuals and quality standards within the department
- 4Manage inventory control and reduce loss of china glass and silver
- 5Provide daily support to Banquet Associates and monitor job performance
- 6Collaborate with Meetings & Events and Culinary teams to ensure flawless event execution
- 7Inspect banquet facilities equipment and amenities ensuring cleanliness safety and functionality
- 8Create and manage departmental budgets forecasts and financial reports
- 9Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies
- 10Maintain high standards of service excellence food quality and presentation
- 11Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
Requirements10
- 1Prior experience as Director of Banquets or Banquet Manager
- 2Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3Proven success in customer service and guest recovery
- 4Ability to supervise staff assign duties motivate and mentor evaluate performance and take disciplinary actions
- 5Experience handling multiple priorities in a results oriented environment
- 6Microsoft Office proficiency Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook
- 7Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
- 8Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- 9Luxury hotel experience a plus
- 10Associates events throughout the year
Salary Insight
$105 - $125k per year
