Dietary Aide, Long-Term Care & Food Service
Overview
You will prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility, ensuring dietary compliance and sanitation standards. What You'll Do6
- 1Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
- 2Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- 3Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- 4Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including ServSafe practices.
- 5Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- 6Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred.
- 3Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- 4Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- 5Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- 6Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
- 7Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- 8Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- 9Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on State / County law.
- 10Residency within the service area required.
