Diet Technician Columbus Ohio
Overview
Our Diet Technicians deliver nutritional services to residents, guests, and staff in a resident oriented non institutional setting. We serve elders aged 62 to 85 plus occasional younger adults over 18. This is a full time onsite position offering payroll.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build meal plans using dietary software
- 2Design menus aligned with client preferences
- 3Prepare meals according to safety standards
- 4Maintain kitchen equipment and inventory
- 5Document nutrition assessments and progress notes
- 6Collaborate with nurses on care plans
- 7Lead small teams during shift changes
- 8Train new hires on dietary protocols
- 9Analyze patient feedback to improve menu options
Requirements10
- 1Associate degree in dietetic technology from an ADA accredited program
- 2Registered Dietetic Technician licensure
- 3Supervisory experience preferred
- 4Computer proficiency for record keeping
- 5Strong communication skills for client interaction
- 6Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- 7Physical stamina for standing and lifting
- 8Understanding of geriatric care principles
- 9Experience with nutrition software systems
- 10Commitment to ethical food handling practices
