Overview
You will own deployment and lifecycle management for enterprise applications running on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. This role sits on a platform team supporting multiple product lines across hybrid cloud. You'll build CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure production stability. What You'll Do9
- 1Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and resource efficiency.
- 2Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Argo CD, integrating automated tests and security scans.
- 3Automate cluster provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Ansible, reducing manual effort.
- 4Implement monitoring and logging for clusters using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to increase observability.
- 5Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications with Docker and optimize images for size and security.
- 6Troubleshoot production issues related to networking, storage, and container runtime, ensuring swift resolution.
- 7Manage secrets and access control with Vault and RBAC, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- 8Drive adoption of GitOps practices, using Argo CD or Flux to manage declarative infrastructure and application state.
- 9Participate in on-call rotation, responding to critical alerts and minimizing downtime.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, with 3+ years specifically on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- 2Strong understanding of container orchestration, networking, and storage in Kubernetes.
- 3Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Argo CD.
- 4Proficiency in Python or Go for automation scripting.
- 5Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
- 6Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- 7Familiarity with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
- 8Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
