DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes, AWS) - Booz Allen
Overview
You will own cloud-based infrastructure for a suite of integrated AI testing tools, deployed at enterprise scale for the nation. You will design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to provision AWS environments that support containerized workloads. You will build CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Jenkins to automate deployment of Docker containers across Kubernetes clusters. This role stands apart by focusing on AIOps and MLOps, directly enabling the assessment of AI system performance and cybersecurity posture.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible within the first 90 days, establishing repeatable and secure patterns for AWS.
- 2Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment of Docker containers.
- 3Manage Kubernetes clusters for orchestration, including scaling, monitoring, and upgrades to support enterprise workloads.
- 4Develop and enhance a web-based information-sharing platform, integrating with backend services and ensuring responsive UI.
- 5Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, including AppSec compliance, vulnerability scanning, and secure configuration of cloud resources.
- 6Optimize container images and orchestration to achieve high availability and performance across environments.
- 7Debug and resolve deployment issues in UNIX and Linux environments using Bash scripting.
- 8Collaborate with data science teams to integrate MLOps practices, ensuring model deployment and monitoring align with operational goals.
Requirements9
- 14+ years experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, Containerd, Podman, or Kaniko
- 24+ years experience with container orchestration, including Kubernetes, ECS, or ACA
- 33+ years experience with DevOps platforms: GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Flux
- 43+ years experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows for medium or large software teams
- 52+ years experience with cloud providers, including AWS or Azure
- 6Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 7Knowledge of UNIX or Linux development and Bash scripting
- 8Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- 9HS diploma or GED
