Own the full cycle of dental billing and coding at ICONIC DENTAL, processing claims for a high-volume Dallas practice. You will review procedures, submit claims, and recover revenue from payers, working alongside a dedicated clinical team. This onsite role directly impacts the practice's financial health, with 5+ years of billing expertise leading to streamlined operations.
What You'll Do7
- 1Code dental procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and DRG standards, ensuring accurate billing within the first 30 days.
- 2Submit insurance claims through EHR and EMR systems, following payer guidelines and internal workflows.
- 3Track and resolve denied or unpaid claims, applying medical collections techniques to maximize reimbursements.
- 4Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before procedures, reducing claim rejections and delays.
- 5Maintain meticulous medical records for each patient, documenting procedures, diagnoses, and billing correspondence.
- 6Collaborate with dental staff to confirm treatment documentation, aligning clinical notes with billing codes.
- 7Monitor updates in coding standards and payer policies, integrating changes into daily billing routines.
Requirements6
- 13+ years in medical billing within a dental or healthcare setting, with proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- 2Experience with DRG coding systems and their application in dental billing.
