Overview
As a Delivery Driver at North Beach Pizza, you own the final leg of our customer experience, delivering hot, fresh orders across San Francisco with speed and care. You handle 20-30 stops per shift, navigate congested city streets, and set up catering orders at venues, ensuring every delivery arrives intact. You work directly with our kitchen and front-of-house teams, becoming the face of our brand on the road. This part-time role offers morning and day shifts, with $18.60/hr and the chance to grow into a lead driver or logistics coordinator. We value drivers who treat every order like their own dinner, not just a task.
What You'll Do8
- 1Plan and follow the most efficient routes across San Francisco using GPS and traffic apps, ensuring on-time delivery.
- 2Safely operate our delivery vehicles, including sedans, vans, and catering trucks, following all traffic laws.
- 3Deliver catering orders to corporate offices and event venues, setting up food stations and confirming counts.
- 4Check each order for completeness, matching receipts and order tags before leaving the store.
- 5Handle cash and card payments on delivery, processing POS transactions and providing change when needed.
- 6Conduct vehicle inspections before each shift, checking tires, lights, and fluid levels, reporting any issues.
- 7Communicate with the dispatch team via two-way radio or smartphone, updating delivery status in real time.
- 8Assist in the kitchen during slow periods, helping with packaging and prep to keep orders flowing.
Requirements7
- 1Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 21+ years of route driving or delivery driver experience, preferably in urban settings.
- 3Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds up and down stairs.
- 4Comfortable using smartphone apps for GPS navigation and order tracking.
- 5Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and delivery receipts.
- 6Flexibility to work 4-hour shifts between 7AM and 4PM, including weekends and holidays.
- 7Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus, but we provide on-the-job training.
