Delivery Driver, Commercial Trucking & DOT Compliance
Overview
Own safe, timely delivery of HVAC and refrigeration products across Portland and the Pacific Northwest. You will operate company trucks and forklifts, manage cargo securement, and maintain DOT compliance. You will join a 23-branch wholesale network backed by Daikin and work with a close-knit warehouse team. This role offers day-one benefits, paid training, and a clear path into warehouse or counter operations. Unlike typical delivery jobs, you will be a backup for warehouse and front counter duties, making every shift varied.
What You'll Do7
- 1Load, unload, and deliver product to customer sites within designated time frames using the most efficient routes.
- 2Maintain required logs and reports for DOT compliance and company safety standards.
- 3Safely load, block, brace, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- 4Operate a forklift to transfer and load product, verifying accuracy of items and quantities.
- 5Perform pre-check and post-check inspections of company vehicles and forklifts per procedures.
- 6Support warehouse and front counter operations as backup, including inventory handling.
- 7Follow housekeeping and safety practices, including heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
Requirements10
- 13+ years driving a commercial vehicle.
- 2Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- 3Working knowledge of commercial truck mechanics.
- 4Working knowledge of current DOT regulations.
- 51+ year verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 years.
- 6Pass DOT road test, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and background check.
- 7DMV record with no more than 2 moving violations or preventable accidents in 3 years.
- 8High school diploma or GED.
- 9Ability to operate a forklift.
- 10Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and Mincron.
