You own daily delivery routes for a nursery supplier, operating a 16' box truck to deliver landscaping materials across the Atlanta area. You manage an average of multiple stops per day, using a liftgate and pallet jack to move loads up to 1,200 pounds. You work independently, supported by a dispatch team and mobile apps like Jobber and ESS Mobile. This role stands out with a 4-hour daily pay guarantee and a predictable schedule with some Saturdays during peak seasons.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive a 16-foot box truck on assigned routes, delivering trees, shrubs, pottery, and patio furniture to residential and commercial locations.
- 2Load and unload palletized products using the truck's liftgate and manual pallet jack, up to 1,200 pounds per pallet.
- 3Secure all cargo with straps and load-securing equipment to prevent movement and damage during transit.
- 4Review delivery orders via the Jobber app to confirm accurate pickup and delivery of each order.
- 5Communicate professionally with customers, store personnel, and dispatch to resolve any issues.
- 6Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- 7Follow GPS navigation directions while avoiding toll roads and ferries as instructed.
- 8Maintain a clean and safe truck and equipment, wearing company uniforms and PPE at all times.
Requirements8
- 1DOT certification and a valid state driver's license with current address.
- 2Clean driving record with the ability to pass a drug screen.
- 3At least 21 years of age.
- 4Reliable smartphone with access to ESS Mobile, Jobber, and a navigation app like Google Maps.
- 5Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and move palletized loads up to 1,200 pounds using a pallet jack and liftgate.
- 6Own transportation to get to and from work daily.
- 7Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- 8Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
