Deck Service Technician, Carpentry & Construction
Overview
Amazing Decks, a deck construction company serving customers since 1991, seeks a full-time Service Technician to complete punch-list and warranty work on residential decks across Philadelphia. You will own the service route, driving a company van and performing repairs, replacements, and maintenance on deck structures and lighting. Working independently, you'll interact directly with homeowners and ensure every job meets quality standards. This role offers stable year-round work, a salary of $65,000 plus benefits, and the autonomy to manage your day.
What You'll Do8
- 1Complete deck punch-list and warranty work, addressing any items from initial construction
- 2Repair loose or damaged deck boards, replacing sections as needed
- 3Repair or replace railings to ensure safety and code compliance
- 4Check and troubleshoot deck lighting, fixing electrical issues
- 5Clean and detail decks and railings to maintain appearance
- 6Handle minor repairs and adjustments on deck structures
- 7Interact professionally with homeowners, explaining work performed
- 8Drive company van to job sites and manage service schedule independently
Requirements7
- 13+ years of experience in carpentry or general construction
- 2Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, and levels
- 3Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 4Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- 5Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship
- 6Professional and customer-friendly communication skills
- 7Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all weather
