Day Warehouse Janitor
Overview
The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. seeks a Day Warehouse Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in warehouse facilities. This role ensures warehouse floor equipment and storage areas remain clean organized and debris free while supporting a safe hygienic environment.
What You'll Do13
- 1Clean floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them
- 2Gather and empty trash consolidating trash for weekly pickup
- 3Service clean and supply restrooms
- 4Clean walls racks and equipment
- 5Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- 6Clean and restore building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment
- 7Clean different surfaces using solvents brushes rags and power cleaning equipment
- 8Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- 9Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours
- 10Move furniture equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks
- 11Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- 12Remove snow from sidewalks driveways and parking areas using snow blowers and snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicals
- 13Set up arrange and remove decorations tables chairs ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred
- 3Knowledge of cleaning techniques equipment and supplies
- 4Ability to lift heavy objects
- 5Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- 6Good communication and teamwork abilities
Salary Insight
$40 - $44k per year
