What You'll Do12

  • 1Install configure upgrade patch and maintain IBM Db2 Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB and other relational NoSQL databases
  • 2Design and implement highly available secure and scalable database environments supporting business applications analytics and operational workloads
  • 3Monitor performance and apply optimization strategies including query tuning execution plan analysis indexing and partitioning
  • 4Create backup recovery disaster recovery replication resilience and high availability solutions protecting critical data
  • 5Implement security controls such as RBAC authentication authorization encryption auditing dynamic data masking row and column level security and PHI protection
  • 6Ensure availability reliability scalability and performance through proactive monitoring maintenance capacity planning and continuous management
  • 7Manage data lifecycle activities including retention archival restoration purging and storage optimization
  • 8Partner with developers analysts and stakeholders to design efficient solutions optimize workloads and support releases
  • 9Administer AWS services like Amazon RDS Aurora and Redshift handling provisioning configuration monitoring security and scaling
  • 10Support migrations modernization cloud adoption integration and consolidation across environments
  • 11Troubleshoot complex issues perform root cause analysis resolve incidents and develop automation scripts for provisioning monitoring and maintenance
  • 12Maintain documentation standards procedures and ensure compliance with governance regulations and PHI requirements

Requirements12

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2Seven or more years administering enterprise database environments
  • 3Professional certifications such as IBM Db2 MongoDB AWS Certified Database – Specialty Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL or equivalent
  • 4Experience with IBM Db2 Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB and other relational NoSQL databases
  • 5Strong SQL programming skills and expertise in database architecture physical logical design indexing partitioning query optimization and execution plans
  • 6Understanding of backup recovery replication clustering high availability disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • 7Experience with Windows and Linux servers AWS database services and performance optimization
  • 8Ability to support migration modernization data warehousing ETL or BI solutions
  • 9Skills in automation using PowerShell Python Bash or similar tools
  • 10Familiarity with DevOps IaC automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • 11Preference for backgrounds in healthcare finance or regulated industries
  • 12Proven analytical troubleshooting and communication abilities with focus on data integrity security and compliance
