Data Scientist, Pega & Analytics
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions on the Pega platform, supporting a 6-9 month contract for a major telecom client. Your work will enable faster implementation of new modeling features by simplifying data processing and analysis. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Python and SQL workflows into production. This role stands out for its hybrid and possibly remote flexibility, plus the chance to drive real business impact with Pega and AWS.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain Pega decisioning models that drive real-time customer insights.
- 2Design Python scripts to automate data extraction and transformation from SQL databases.

- 4Collaborate with data engineers to deploy models using AWS services like S3 and Lambda.
- 5Document code and processes to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer.
- 6Tune and validate predictive models for accuracy and performance.
- 7Support the integration of new data sources into the Pega environment.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in data science or analytics with a focus on Pega decisioning.
- 2Master``s degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
- 3Strong Python coding skills for data manipulation and machine learning.
- 4Proficiency with SQL for complex queries and data extraction.
- 5Experience with AWS data services such as S3, Lambda, or Redshift.
- 6Hands-on experience with Pega Decisioning or Pega Customer Decision Hub.
- 7Ability to work onsite in Merrifield, VA for hybrid model, open to remote for strong candidates.
