Data Engineer, Palantir Foundry & Vantage
Overview
You will lead development of data solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform, architecting pipelines that transform raw Army data into structured ontology objects. Your work scales across the Vantage ecosystem, enabling critical leadership decisions. You will mentor a team and own architectural choices for data processing and delivery. What You'll Do8
- 1Architect and scale data pipelines in Palantir Foundry, converting raw Army sources into actionable Ontology objects.
- 2Build ETL/ELT flows using SQL, PySpark, and Python, integrating disparate structured and unstructured data.
- 3Design and optimize Ontology objects and pipelines, leveraging Pandas and PySpark for complex transformations.
- 4Lead architectural decisions for data processing, transformation, and delivery within the Vantage platform.
- 5Develop APIs using Express.JS, Flask, or FastAPI to expose data insights.
- 6Serve as subject matter expert in data modeling, database development, and troubleshooting complex data challenges.
- 7Mentor less experienced engineers, guiding best practices and skill development.
- 8Drive data science and statistical analysis for process improvement and yield optimization.
Requirements10
- 15-7 years in data engineering, with 3+ years hands-on in Palantir Foundry and Vantage.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Shell Scripting.
- 4Expertise in optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and database performance.
- 5Experience with Azure data stack (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory) and Power Platform.
- 6Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and Java for automation and APIs.
- 7Active SECRET security clearance required.
- 8Experience with AI frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain) preferred.
- 9Knowledge of Storybook and advanced visualization tools preferred.
- 10Master's degree in CS or related field preferred.
