Overview
We seek a skilled Data Engineer III or Senior Data Engineer to design and build enterprise analytics solutions that drive data‑driven decisions across our global logistics network. This role leads the creation of scalable data models semantic layers and reporting experiences for the Americas region supporting over 70 offices. Expect rapid impact and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead the development of enterprise data models semantic layers and reporting datasets that provide trusted scalable business insights.
- 2Establish best practices for data quality testing automation observability version control and CI/CD across analytics solutions.
- 3Architect scalable data models reporting architecture and analytics solutions aligned with business priorities.
- 4Collaborate with product teams platform engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- 5Mentor engineers through coaching knowledge sharing and constructive technical feedback.
- 6Advocate for analytics engineering best practices and data‑driven decision making across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Requirements5
- 1Minimum 5+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow as shown in the Expeditors Founder quote.
- 2Advanced proficiency in designing and optimizing enterprise data models and semantic layers using Microsoft Fabric Databricks SQL and Python.
- 3Expertise in data governance privacy regulations and secure analytics implementation.
- 4Proven experience with Power BI Tableau and Python visualization libraries such as Matplotlib Seaborn and Plotly.
- 5Certifications in Databricks Data Engineer Professional Power BI Data Analyst or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
