Data Center Asset Management Specialist
Overview
You own the full lifecycle of data center hardware, from intake to decommission, ensuring 100% accuracy across thousands of assets. You coordinate with Finance, Engineering, and Compliance to maintain audit-ready records. This role sits at the heart of Lambda's AI cloud operations, directly impacting infrastructure reliability. You will drive process improvements and scalable workflows in a high-growth environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Track every asset from order to decommission with 100% accuracy, using NetSuite and custom tracking systems.
- 2Run daily inbound and outbound operations: receiving, cycle counts, RMA, relocation, and decommissioning.
- 3Build and maintain data structures for high-volume asset data, enabling clear insights in Google Sheets and Excel.
- 4Coordinate periodic physical audits to align system records with actual inventory.
- 5Serve as the first escalation point for all hardware asset management issues across regions.
- 6Document and enforce SOPs and best practices, embedding them into asset management systems.
- 7Ensure fixed assets are verified physically and systematically against the DCIM and tracking systems.
- 8Maintain data governance standards, defining metadata and business rules for easy data discovery.
- 9Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize warehouse and data center processes.
- 10Interface with Accounting, Finance, Engineering, and Compliance teams to meet audit requirements.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in warehouse and inventory management, ideally in high-tech or hardware.
- 2Strong grasp of inventory control, warehouse systems, and ERP software like NetSuite.
- 3Proven ability to reconcile large datasets using Google Sheets or Excel.
- 4Capable of lifting 50 lbs and operating warehouse equipment.
- 5Excellent attention to detail and operational discipline.
- 6Experience in data center, electronics, or hardware deployment is a plus.
- 7Familiarity with SOX, NIST 800-88, or similar compliance standards is preferred.
- 8Exposure to fixed asset tracking and physical inventory audits is preferred.
