Overview
This Dashboard Experience Developer will own the full lifecycle of dashboard, report, and widget development for a centralized performance and analytics repository at a global financial institution. You will build with Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to transform raw data into clear visual stories for internal stakeholders. Joining a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product analysts, you will collaborate daily to refine user-facing data experiences. This 12+ month contract in Charlotte, NC offers direct impact on enterprise decision-making, with a focus on user-centered design and continuous iteration.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau, ensuring real-time data accuracy and performance.
- 2Design user-centric data visualizations that simplify complex metrics for non-technical stakeholders, from wireframe to production.
- 3Partner with product analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable dashboard designs.
- 4Develop and maintain reusable SQL queries and data models to support dashboard refresh cycles and ad-hoc analysis.
- 5Continuously improve dashboard usability by gathering feedback, tracking usage metrics, and iterating on layout and interactivity.
- 6Document technical specifications and maintain version control for all visualization assets.
- 7Debug and troubleshoot dashboard issues, from data connection failures to UI glitches, ensuring minimal downtime.
Requirements7
- 13+ years building dashboards and data visualizations with Power BI or Tableau.
- 2Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and optimizing data extracts.
- 3Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom widget development.
- 42+ years in user-centered design, including wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- 5Proven ability to work with large datasets and financial data is a plus.
- 6Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional product teams.
- 7Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Salary Insight
$98 - $114k per year
