Cybersecurity Operations Lead
Overview
Hybrid role requiring 2-3 days weekly on-site in Alexandria VA. First 30 days full-time on-site. Strengthen enterprise security posture reduce risk and lead implementation optimization of security tools technologies and Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation capabilities. Not program management only deep technical expertise active involvement in architecture engineering threat detection vulnerability management and security tool integration. Must hold US Citizenship and active Public Trust clearance. Contract to hire W2 benefits include medical dental vision 401k with match life insurance. Rate $80 to $100/hr.
What You'll Do14
- 1Lead cybersecurity architecture engineering and security operations initiatives across enterprise environments
- 2Design implement integrate and optimize security technologies to improve visibility threat detection incident response and cyber resilience
- 3Support and lead Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation capabilities establishing security baselines and ensuring proper tool configuration
- 4Architect deploy maintain and enhance cybersecurity products and services
- 5Provide cybersecurity engineering expertise to enterprise architecture teams technical review boards infrastructure teams and application development efforts
- 6Ensure security requirements are incorporated throughout System Development Life Cycle
- 7Identify assess and remediate security misconfigurations across infrastructure applications cloud and on-prem environments
- 8Develop and maintain security architecture documentation system security designs engineering plans and network security diagrams
- 9Manage aggregation correlation and visualization of cybersecurity data from enterprise and federal security platforms
- 10Lead integration and automation efforts between security operations monitoring incident response and cybersecurity tools
- 11Oversee vulnerability management asset management configuration management identity and access management and continuous monitoring activities
- 12Support implementation and management of controls for boundary protection event monitoring data protection data loss prevention user activity monitoring and supply chain risk management
- 13Collaborate with stakeholders to improve security operations threat detection and incident response capabilities
- 14Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies federal cybersecurity initiatives and evolving compliance requirements
Requirements6
- 110 years of cybersecurity experience across security operations security engineering cybersecurity architecture penetration testing and threat detection and incident response
- 25 years of experience managing and leading cybersecurity operations teams
- 3Proven experience leading enterprise cybersecurity programs and implementing security technologies in complex environments
- 4Experience with Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation initiatives strongly preferred
- 5U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- 6Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity or related field
