Customer Service Representative - Spanish Speaking | Transit Tech
Overview
You will own the passenger experience for Transit Technologies' paratransit services, taking trip reservations and managing rider data for a 24/7 operation in Phoenix. You'll work with our paratransit software to schedule trips, verify eligibility, and update records, coordinating with dispatch and operations to keep service running smoothly. This role stands out because you'll be the voice that connects our community to essential transportation, with daily variety and direct impact on rider mobility.
What You'll Do10
- 1Answer passenger calls to collect trip details and schedule reservations within the permissible time period.
- 2Enter and update passenger records in the customer database, adjusting status, contact information, fare type, and other fields.
- 3Negotiate trip times with passengers when needed, ensuring alignment with eligibility and service policies.
- 4Communicate cancellations and schedule changes to scheduling, dispatch, and vehicle operations staff.
- 5Verify passenger eligibility using the paratransit software, including address, phone, email, and city of residence.
- 6Schedule one-way, round, multi-legged, and subscription trips within the ADA service area.
- 7Assign trips to appropriate routes and vehicles based on current schedules and capacity.
- 8Provide follow-up calls to passengers regarding service changes or course-of-duty updates.
- 9Maintain accurate trip logs, files, and records while ensuring a safe and organized work area.
- 10Support team members and operations staff with scheduling or passenger issues as they arise.
Requirements8
- 1High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2Bilingual in English and Spanish to serve diverse passengers.
- 31+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or dispatch environment.
- 4Ability to multitask with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and data entry, including paratransit software.
- 6Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, reliable demeanor.
- 7Availability to work weekends and varied shifts in a 24/7 operation.
- 8Capacity to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona.
Salary Insight
$37 - $42k per year
