Customer Advocate, Carvana Market Operations
Overview
You own the customer pick-up experience at Carvana's Houston Vending Machine, turning car delivery into a memorable event. You join a Market Operations team that moves thousands of vehicles per month, working onsite with direct customer interaction. You handle paperwork, resolve technical hiccups, and maintain our CMV Driver standards while earning $19-$21/hour with quarterly raises. What You'll Do7
- 1Own the end-to-end customer pick-up experience, greeting customers at our Houston Vending Machine and guiding them through vehicle retrieval.
- 2Complete customer paperwork and log detailed notes in our tracking system, ensuring accurate records for each transaction.
- 3Resolve customer questions and minor technical issues with the vending machine process, delivering a smooth and positive interaction.
- 4Drive vehicles safely, maintaining a clean driving record per CMV Driver policy, and perform vehicle movements as needed.
- 5Detail and load/unload vehicles onto the Vending Machine, handling physical tasks with precision and care.
- 6Collaborate with team members to meet daily volume targets, adapting to rotating schedules that include weekends and evenings.
- 7Obtain a Notary commission within the first 90 days, or a Vehicle Verifier license for California-based employees, with company sponsorship.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or similar roles.
- 2Valid driver's license and ability to meet CMV Driver qualification standards, with a clean driving record.
- 3Ability to pass a background check and meet state-specific DMV and title system access requirements.
- 4Must be 21+ years old and able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- 5Physical capability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs.
- 6Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor conditions, including occasional inclement weather.
- 7Flexibility to work 7 days a week, with rotating days off, and evening shifts from 11 am to 9 pm.
- 8Ability to obtain a Notary or Vehicle Verifier license within the first 90 days, as applicable.
- 9Basic computer skills for data entry and customer tracking systems.
- 10High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
