CT Technologist - StaffFlex Contract
Overview
You will own CT imaging operations at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, covering a 13-week contract with day shifts (10am-6:30pm). You will perform exams using established protocols, operate imaging equipment safely, and ensure patient safety and comfort across all ages. Your role supports a purpose-driven team focused on whole-person care, with on-call rotation every 5th week. This is a chance to apply your RT(R)(ARRT) certification in a contract role with a leading health system.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform CT exams using established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and education prior to each scan.
- 2Operate imaging equipment (scanners, injectors, monitors) safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
- 3Screen patients for contrast allergies and minimize radiation exposure, practicing infection control standards with approved PPE.
- 4Position patients and select technical factors to produce radiographs that meet Radiologist standards in a safe, timely manner.
- 5Monitor patient condition during scans, documenting history and explaining procedures to ensure comfort, safety, and privacy.
- 6Handle clerical duties such as answering phones, completing patient records, and scheduling exams.
- 7Maintain a stocked, organized, clean room and adapt imaging protocols as needed for patient care.
- 8Demonstrate knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of experience as a CT Tech in acute care.
- 2Associate's degree from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology or JCERT accreditation.
- 3Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 4Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) required.
- 5Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography RT(CT)(ARRT) required.
- 6IEMA state license required for Illinois.
- 7Open availability for day shifts (10am-6:30pm) and on-call every 5th week.
- 8Knowledge of imaging protocols and radiation safety practices.
