What You'll Do8
- 1Operate the cash register with speed and precision, processing transactions with a smile.
- 2Bag groceries thoughtfully, protecting fragile items and organizing heavy loads.
- 3Stock shelves and rotate product to keep displays full and fresh.
- 4Create hand-lettered chalk signage that is informative, legible, and visually delightful.
- 5Answer customer questions, offer product recommendations, and guide them to their favorite finds.
- 6Collaborate with teammates to meet store goals and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
- 7Greet every customer warmly, making them feel expected and valued.
- 8Learn and rotate through all store roles, from front end to shelf stocking, within your first 90 days.
Requirements8
- 1Passion for people and a genuine enjoyment of customer interaction.
- 2Fervor for food and an eagerness to learn about Trader Joe's products.
- 3Ability to work evenings and weekends as store needs dictate.
- 4Comfort standing and moving for extended shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- 5Strong communication skills in English; bilingual a plus.
- 6Artistic ability in penmanship, chalk lettering, or large-format signage is a plus, but not required.
- 7Prior retail or customer service experience is welcome but not mandatory.
- 8Commitment to teamwork and a positive, adaptable attitude.
