Overview
You'll own package delivery and pick-up for FedEx in Baltimore, ensuring safe and courteous service. Drive company vehicles and verify shipments against FedEx standards. Interact with customers daily. This role demands 21 years age minimum and a medical exam per FMCSA.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages on assigned routes.
- 2Inspect shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and documentation.
- 3Provide courteous customer service during pick-ups and deliveries.
- 4Load and unload packages, using equipment or assistance for items over 50 lbs.
- 5Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- 6Operate in a constant state of alertness, prioritizing safety.
- 7Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- 8Complete daily logs and paperwork as required.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 2Valid driver's license for the assigned vehicle type.
- 321 years of age or older.
- 4Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
- 5Pass a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
- 6Meet qualifications under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- 7Fluent in reading and speaking English to interpret traffic signs and interact with officials.
- 8Neat appearance and good verbal communication skills.
