The Associate, Corporate Actions role focuses on managing daily Corporate Actions support for Firm Trading and Equity Finance accounts across multiple BMO entities. This position involves end-to-end processing of North American corporate action events with emphasis on risk management and reconciliation. What You'll Do11
- 1Build automated workflows using Python and AWS to streamline corporate action processing
- 2Design and implement scalable solutions for voluntary corporate actions using React and Kubernetes
- 3Lead daily entitlement reconciliations and cash/stock settlement activities
- 4Own complex corporate action types with high risk through independent decision-making
- 5Drive integration of EnTrack system for corporate action management
- 6Develop initiatives to prevent operational issues and reduce repeat occurrences
- 7Act as Subject Matter Expert in Corporate Actions and Entitlements
- 8Maintain controls and conduct quarterly risk assessments
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines
- 10Analyze and resolve processing issues according to authority levels
- 11Contribute to project management for system implementation and optimization
Requirements11
- 15+ years experience in asset servicing with minimum 3 years in voluntary corporate actions
- 2Strong understanding of Canadian BPS, CDS, DTC processes
- 3Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- 4Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and containerization with Kubernetes
- 5Demonstrated ability to learn and apply AI-driven solutions
- 6Undergraduate degree with strong mathematical foundation
- 7Experience servicing prime brokerage clients
- 8Excellent time management and organizational skills
- 9Ability to work collaboratively in hybrid environments
- 10Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk mitigation strategies
- 11Strong attention to detail and risk awareness
