Corporate Accounting Manager - Fixed Assets Integration
Overview
The Manager of Corporate Accounting – Fixed Assets leads end‑to‑end Fixed Assets accounting for M&A integration at GlobalFoundries. This role owns the Fixed Assets lifecycle, drives SOX compliance, and improves global processes. It differs by focusing on M&A integration and capital project accounting.
What You'll Do12
- 1Lead monthly quarterly and annual close processes for Fixed Assets including capitalization depreciation retirements transfers and CIP accounting
- 2Ensure compliance with IFRS GF accounting policies and SOX requirements for Fixed Assets activities
- 3Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations roll‑forwards and supporting schedules
- 4Oversee integrity of Fixed Assets subledger data such as asset master data useful lives and depreciation methods
- 5Partner with Operations Facilities Supply Chain and IT to record capital projects equipment purchases and asset commissioning
- 6Assess acquired entities Fixed Assets balances CIP projects and asset classifications during M&A integrations
- 7Migrate asset master data into SAP guaranteeing completeness accuracy and compliance with global standards
- 8Identify gaps in Fixed Assets processes controls and systems and implement remediation or harmonization plans
- 9Support integration of new entities into monthly close calendar control environment and reporting requirements
- 10Develop training on Fixed Assets policies IFRS requirements and system processes for new teams
- 11Participate in post‑acquisition reviews to stabilize Fixed Assets accounting and controls
- 12Prepare management reporting on capital spend asset utilization and integration progress
Requirements13
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 2CPA ACCA or equivalent professional qualification progress toward certification strongly preferred
- 36–8+ years progressive accounting experience with Fixed Assets CIP or capital‑intensive environments
- 4Strong knowledge of IFRS internal controls and SOX requirements
- 5Experience with monthly close processes reconciliations and subledger management
- 6Ability to partner cross‑functionally with Operations Facilities IT and Finance
- 7Analytical skills to interpret complex capital project data
- 8Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP fixed assets and project systems
- 9Semiconductor manufacturing or similar capital‑intensive industry background
- 10M&A integration experience including data migration policy alignment and system onboarding
- 11Familiarity with asset tracking technologies project accounting tools or automation solutions
- 12Audit support experience in global environments
- 13Leadership skills to coach and develop accountants and translate technical topics for non‑finance partners
