What You'll Do11

  • 1Coordinates daily Medical Assistant staffing schedules based on provider needs patient volume and clinic operations
  • 2Develops and maintains staff schedules and enters them into Dimensions
  • 3Works closely with providers to ensure appropriate staffing and flexibility to meet changing clinic needs
  • 4Audits workflows schedules and staff performance to support efficient operations
  • 5Coordinates and tracks staff competencies and ensures required training is completed
  • 6Assists with orientation and onboarding of new Medical Assistant staff
  • 7Provides clinical support and performs a wide variety of Medical Assistant duties related to ambulatory patient care
  • 8Assists with maintaining medical and office supplies and ensures adequate inventory
  • 9Supports continuity of care and consistent clinical workflows
  • 10Identifies operational issues and communicates concerns or recommendations to the Manager
  • 11Assists with maintaining compliance with organizational policies procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements7

  • 1Graduate of a CAAHEP-or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program or formal program with minimum five years of continuous Medical Assistant experience
  • 2Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Assistant with verifiable clinical experience
  • 3Current BLS-C certification
  • 4Current certification as a Medical Assistant through AAMA RMA or CCMA NCMA
  • 5Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care
  • 6Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • 7Successful completion of the Henry Ford Medical Group pharmacology class and test
