Overview
Leads safety quality communication growth performance highspeed equipment development at North America's largest co-packager of alcoholic beverages. Controls Engineers ensure success and efficiency of highspeed equipment throughout production and warehousing spaces. This role involves developing PLC and HMI code for automated packaging equipment while troubleshooting industrial controls and electrical systems. Mentors technicians and informs operations leaders about challenges and opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and program all aspects of PLC/HMI software for packaging equipment
- 2Test and debug control systems
- 3Create, update, and modify machine part or facilities schematics using CAD program
- 4Provide AC and DC drive experience with various platforms
- 5Write and modify extensive PLC and HMI programs for Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley Modicon
- 6Troubleshoot control networks including EtherNet/IP DeviceNet DH-485 Modbus Modbus Plus
- 7Perform all duties within GMP standards
- 8Train, mentor and coach trainees and front line automation technicians
- 9Perform additional duties as assigned
- 10Responsible for department compliance with GMP HACCP and FSMA guidelines
- 11Drive departmental improvements through root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Requirements7
- 1Degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years’ experience in PLC controls engineering
- 2Alen Bradley PLC and motion controls experience
- 3Skilled in RS Logix 500 and Studio
- 4Prior experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- 5Strong knowledge of electrical systems control power and drives sanitary control principals operation and troubleshooting
- 6Excellent communication planning and prioritization skills
- 7Strong leadership and team skills
Salary Insight
$110 - $130k per year
