Contracts Manager, Commercial Contract & Legal
Overview
You will own contract negotiation for corporate services across facilities, real estate, HR, and sales. You will manage a high-volume portfolio of purchasing agreements with suppliers and vendors. You will join a legal team supporting operations and logistics. Your work directly mitigates risk and ensures compliance with J.D. standards.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build relationships with legal, operations, and logistics partners to align contract strategy.
- 2Consult on key points of law and commercial best practice, interpreting complex terms including IP.
- 3Draft, review, and negotiate supplier contracts that establish business relationships.
- 4Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policy, government regulations, and applicable laws.
- 5Interpret and respond to terms presented in contracts, negotiating terms with suppliers.
- 6Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- 7Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
- 8Manage multiple projects simultaneously, resetting priorities under pressure.
Requirements10
- 1J.D. required.
- 210+ years prior experience with complex contract negotiation.
- 33+ years of relevant contract negotiation experience focused on construction or facilities contracts.
- 4Related Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5Experience negotiating key contractual terms and conditions.
- 6Knowledge of contract management best practices and commercial contract law.
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence and persuade.
- 8Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to work extended hours as needed.
- 9Capacity to maintain seated for extended periods.
- 10Preferred: experience negotiating corporate services contracts and international contracts.
Salary Insight
$181 - $183k per year
