Contract Specialist, Procurement & Sourcing
Overview
Own the procurement lifecycle for Infinia Search's client in Washington, DC, from intake to renewal, across a portfolio of 3-5 active contracts. You will drive operational execution and strategic coordination, building dashboards and reports that shape leadership decisions. Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues, reduce risks, and lead negotiations for favorable terms. This hybrid role blends hands-on contract administration with process improvement, offering a path to influence procurement strategy. 5+ years of procurement experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field are required.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage procurement intake and contract action tracking for all requests, ensuring timely execution and visibility into pipeline status.
- 2Develop dashboards and reports in Excel and PowerPoint that track contract renewals, sourcing activities, and portfolio health for leadership.
- 3Drive supplier and contract negotiations on pricing, service levels, and commercial terms, balancing cost and risk to achieve 90-day outcomes.
- 4Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate procurement activities and resolve issues, escalating risks and dependencies to management.
- 5Identify and implement process improvements that enhance transparency and stakeholder experience, reducing cycle time by 15%.
- 6Support procurement governance and compliance documentation, ensuring all actions meet regulatory and internal policy standards.
- 7Monitor portfolio risks and priorities, providing weekly updates and recommendations to leadership.
- 8Lead the renewal process for 5+ expiring contracts, securing improved terms and continuity of service.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracting, or supplier management.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, including pivot tables and Power Query.
- 4Experience managing contract lifecycles from intake to close, with documentation and compliance.
- 5Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable commercial terms.
- 6Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
- 8Experience with procurement software such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or Oracle Procurement Cloud.
