Consultant Technical Excellence Scientific Operations
Overview
Quanterix seeks a technical expert to lead SIMOA-based biomarker assay development and scientific operations. The consultant will provide technical authority, mentor teams, and drive continuous improvement across research and clinical programs. This role combines laboratory leadership with strategic partnership to advance precision medicine.
What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as senior technical authority for SIMOA-based biomarker assay development across research translational clinical trial and diagnostic programs
- 2Provide technical leadership to Custom Assay Development teams to accelerate program execution through troubleshooting and mentorship
- 3Review experimental strategies and analytical data to ensure scientific rigor robustness and reproducibility
- 4Establish technical standards and best practices to improve consistency across assay development and laboratory testing
- 5Mentor scientists and technical leaders to foster a culture of scientific excellence and continuous learning
- 6Lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency while maintaining the highest scientific standards
- 7Drive continuous improvement initiatives including optimization of calibration strategies quality control approaches and laboratory workflows
- 8Identify opportunities to increase laboratory capacity improve throughput and enhance assay reproducibility through technical innovation
- 9Provide technical oversight of analytical validation studies supporting laboratory-developed tests and FDA submissions
- 10Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Quality to ensure technical documentation is complete scientifically sound and submission ready
- 11Collaborate with Laboratory Operations Project Management Commercial and Scientific Leadership teams to align technical resources and support strategic planning
Requirements11
- 1Ph.D. or M.S. in Biochemistry Molecular Biology Immunology Analytical Chemistry Biomedical Engineering or related field
- 2Minimum of 10 years experience in biomarker assay development analytical sciences or regulated laboratory environments
- 3Extensive hands-on experience developing assays on the SIMOA platform
- 4Proven experience supporting analytical validation and regulated laboratory activities
- 5Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary scientific teams
- 6Prior experience within Quanterix a CRO or biomarker-focused organization preferred
- 7Extensive experience supporting clinical trial biomarker programs
- 8Strong understanding of bioanalytical validation principles and regulated laboratory operations
- 9Success implementing technical and operational improvements within laboratory environments
- 10Experience mentoring scientists and technical leaders
- 11Excellent analytical communication and scientific problem-solving skills
Salary Insight
$189 - $220k per year
