Overview
Own field quality and safety for OSP fiber construction across Phoenix. You inspect telecom builds, verify compliance with OSHA standards and client specs, and drive contractor accountability. Coordinate with crews, engineers, and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and budget. Your reports shape project decisions from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Inspect OSP fiber installations daily, verifying adherence to OSHA standards and network design.
- 2Audit contractor compliance, checking vest, ID badges, and vehicle magnets for proper client identification.
- 3Document all construction activity with detailed records and photo evidence.
- 4Resolve field issues on the spot, from cable placement to safety violations.
- 5Provide weekly progress reports to management and stakeholders.
- 6Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to align on project plans and schedules.
- 7Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship against specs.
- 8Escalate critical problems to leadership with recommended solutions.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ years in OSP construction or inspection.
- 3Working knowledge of fiber optic and utility construction standards.
- 4Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Office and field reporting software.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 7Strong communication skills for contractor and team coordination.
- 8Problem-solving mindset with attention to safety details.
