What You'll Do5

  • 1Design original, graduate-level computational problems that require AI models to apply real scientific software to RF and circuit analysis tasks.
  • 2Use scikit-rf to craft problems involving S-parameter characterization, transmission-line modeling, and network analysis, or ngspice for circuit simulation, operating point analysis, and frequency response.
  • 3Build problems that range from exact computation to exploratory tasks where the solver must decide what to measure, interpret partial results, and plan multiple steps to uncover hidden information.
  • 4Test your problem designs against state-of-the-art AI models, analyze where they succeed or fail, and adjust the setup until it hits the target difficulty level.
  • 5Write reliable Python code for problem setups, oracle functions, and solution validators that run in Linux/terminal based remote compute sandboxes.

  • 1Graduate-level training in a relevant STEM field (MS, PhD, or equivalent research experience) with a focus on electrical engineering, RF engineering, or circuit design.
