Compounder Job in Los Angeles, CA - Custom Juice Blends
Overview
You will own the batch-making process for custom juice and flavor blends at a 50-year-old manufacturer serving industrial users worldwide. Working onsite in Los Angeles, you will follow formulas via written, scanner, and computerized systems, and use bar-code scanning to track materials. You will operate pumps, tanks, and hoses while maintaining GMP and HACCP standards. What You'll Do8
- 1Set up, operate, and sanitize pumps, tanks, and hoses for batch production.
- 2Follow formulas from written, scanner, or computerized systems, using bar-code scanning for material tracking.
- 3Take samples and add materials per formula directions to ensure batch accuracy.
- 4Maintain written records for formulas and process sheets, ensuring traceability.
- 5Keep blending areas and equipment clean using proper sanitation techniques and GMP guidelines.
- 6Manage bulk raw material inventory and assist with loading and unloading tankers.
- 7Operate a forklift frequently during shifts to move materials and finished batches.
- 8Learn and operate additional production equipment as assigned to support plant needs.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- 2Ability to read and write English and perform math and measurement calculations.
- 3Skill in using devices such as scales, beakers, and sight tubes on bulk tanks.
- 4Knowledge of hooking up hoses and pumps to bulk tankers for product transfer.
- 5Capable of performing tasks requiring judgment and precision with minimal supervision.
- 6Willingness to report to any company facility on short notice, sometimes same-day.
- 7Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds frequently and work in wet, noisy conditions.
