What You'll Do11
- 1Lead the definition of communications architectures including RF front ends digital processing chains beamforming arrays channelizers and modems
- 2Drive architectural decisions across hardware firmware and software boundaries
- 3Provide end‑to‑end technical leadership throughout the full product lifecycle from requirements definition to delivery of space‑qualified hardware
- 4Act as primary technical point of contact with customers translating mission needs into engineering requirements
- 5Own technical execution for programs guiding engineering activities across electrical RF mechanical firmware and software domains
- 6Partner with business development to shape technical solutions draft proposals and engage in customer capture activities
- 7Define system‑level requirements and preliminary designs to support new opportunities
- 8Assist with scoping statements of work and shaping architectures during early‑phase engagements
- 9Lead architectural and component‑level trade studies balancing performance cost risk and schedule
- 10Provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams ensuring technical integrity and execution excellence
- 11Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address space environmental and radiation effects and implement space‑grade design practices
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 215+ years of experience developing advanced communications systems in satellite or aerospace
- 3Broad understanding of full‑lifecycle space product development including design integration qualification and mission operations
- 4Proven experience as a technical execution lead driving system performance and engineering progress across disciplines
- 5Deep background in digital communications RF architecture signal processing and FPGA‑based systems
- 6Hands‑on experience with SDRs high‑speed digital systems and RF designs
- 7Experience with phased array antennas and digital beamforming
- 8Understanding of satellite payload constraints such as power thermal and volume budgets
- 9Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools like MATLAB STK ADS or equivalent
- 10Comfortable working directly with customers leading technical conversations reviews and shaping architectural solutions
- 11Active TS/SCI security clearance and eligibility for required government authorizations
