What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporative condensers, and ice machines, to restore function within the first month.
- 2Perform preventive maintenance by testing electrical and mechanical components, identifying failures, and documenting findings to prevent downtime.
- 3Overhaul heating and ventilation equipment, such as air handlers and gas furnaces, ensuring safe and timely operation.
- 4Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical skills, replacing faulty parts and verifying system performance.
- 5Process job tickets and work orders, maintaining legible records of work history for accurate tracking.
- 6Install new refrigeration cases, including pickup, delivery, and setup, supporting store openings and remodels.
- 7Drive company vehicle safely to customer sites, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, including work on single systems and rack systems.
- 2EPA certification for handling refrigerants, with trade school certification a plus.
- 3High school diploma or GED, with ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- 4Experience with display cases and walk-in boxes in convenience stores or supermarkets.
- 5Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and ability to work independently.
- 6Physical ability to lift 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods, with emergency on-call availability.
