Overview
Market new and renewal business efficiently. Complete underwriting information and applications. Present submissions to companies. Perform initial price and coverage negotiation with carriers. Develop new customers through prospecting activities. Respond to coverage questions and recommend coverages. Take policy change information and collect premiums. Issue proper insurance verification documents. Resolve customer problems and complaints. Follow up on canceled policies. Assist with premium collection and account reconciliation. Know company products and underwriting requirements. Develop existing accounts by adding coverages. Meet with marketing representatives about new products. Participate in community and professional activities. Analyze exposures and develop coverage recommendations. Provide monthly billing reports to Agency Manager. Work with Agency Manager to set annual goals. Improve insurance coverage knowledge beyond state CE requirements. Attend agency sales meetings. Develop a book of business.
