Commercial HVAC Technician, EPA Universal, Texas & Refrigeration
Overview
Own and service a broad range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment for a Texas-owned company with 43+ years of local trust. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems on a field team in the Houston area. This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, technical growth, and customer-facing communication. What You'll Do9
- 1Diagnose equipment failures and determine effective repair solutions for HVAC and refrigeration systems
- 2Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration issues and perform service repairs
- 3Complete preventative maintenance and service calls on commercial equipment
- 4Evaluate equipment performance and identify potential problems in chilled water systems and refrigeration
- 5Document service calls, repairs, and equipment information using company technology
- 6Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers and maintain professional field presence
- 7Collaborate with other technicians to uphold high service standards
- 8Maintain accurate records and ensure safe, compliant work practices
- 9Assist with diagnosing complex system issues and proposing long-term solutions
Requirements10
- 13 – 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- 2Strong troubleshooting abilities for commercial HVAC systems
- 3Experience with chilled water systems and refrigeration
- 4EPA Universal Certification and Texas Technician Registration
- 5Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- 6Preferred: ice machine experience and advanced refrigeration experience
- 7HVAC trade school education or formal technical training
- 8Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- 9Comfort with Monday–Friday schedule and overtime as needed
- 10Experience documenting service activity using company technology
