We are hiring skilled CNC Machinists for aerospace and semiconductor precision machine shop outside Philadelphia PA This is high-mix low-volume work involving complex prints unproven prototype setups and tight tolerances on large-format materials Machinists own job end-to-end from blueprint interpretation multi-axis setup first article prove-out and final inspection
What You'll Do7
- 1Set up large-format 3- 4- and 5-axis mills for prototype and job-shop work
- 2Dial in unproven high-complexity parts through first article validation
- 3Interpret complex prints models and routings using advanced GD&T
- 4Build fixturing that manages 5-axis kinematics and collision avoidance
- 5Read write and edit G/M-code offsets and tool comp
- 6Verify tight tolerances with micrometers indicators and precision gauges
- 7Recommend manufacturing changes to improve part manufacturability
Requirements10
- 13+ years CNC machining in precision environments
- 2Independent complex setups including tooling offsets and workholding
- 3Ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T
- 4Write and edit G/M-code at the control
- 5Holds tight tolerances with manual inspection tools
- 6Direct experience running 5-axis mills
- 7Aerospace or semiconductor machining experience
- 8Large-format machining experience
- 9Experience cutting advanced aerospace alloys
- 10Prototype or high-mix job-shop background
