What You'll Do15
- 1Follows the plan of care to provide safe competent service to the client
- 2Helps the client maintain good personal hygiene and supports a healthy environment
- 3Plans and prepares nutritious meals as directed by the nurse
- 4Assists with ambulation as ordered by the physician and supervised by the nurse
- 5Supports therapy personnel with rehabilitative processes
- 6Encourages client independence according to the nursing service plan
- 7Promotes mental alertness through engaging activities
- 8Provides emotional and psychological support to clients and families
- 9Reports changes in client condition or home situations to the nursing staff
- 10Performs routine housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe environment
- 11Prepares visit reports and updates clinical records weekly
- 12Coordinates visit schedules with other agency staff
- 13Collaborates with community agencies per nurse directives
- 14Attends required in-services and adheres to agency policies
- 15Notifies the agency of absences due to illness or emergencies
Requirements8
- 1Valid Maryland Board of Nursing certification as a CNA
- 2Experience operating BP cuff thermometer and stethoscope
- 3Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and bend stoop reach clients weighing up to 250 pounds
- 4Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
- 5Background screening clearance and current CPR certification
- 6Preference for candidates with knowledge of infection control and home safety
- 7Understanding of basic first aid and emergency response
- 8Commitment to ethical client care and confidentiality
