Cloud Program Manager (Google Cloud, Migrations)
Overview
As a Cloud Program Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of large-scale cloud transformation programs for enterprise and public sector clients in the Atlanta area. You will lead cross-functional teams through Google Cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and application transformation, ensuring milestones and budgets are met. Working with a portfolio of concurrent initiatives, you will coordinate with stakeholders to remove blockers and drive adoption of cloud-native practices. What You'll Do8
- 1Lead the planning and execution of Google Cloud migration programs, from discovery to cutover, for enterprise and public sector customers.
- 2Build detailed program roadmaps, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies, and track progress against them.
- 3Coordinate with engineering, operations, and business teams to align on cloud architecture decisions and ensure seamless integration of GCP services.
- 4Drive infrastructure modernization efforts, moving legacy workloads to containerized or serverless architectures using Kubernetes and Cloud Functions.
- 5Facilitate application transformation workshops to re-platform or refactor applications for cloud efficiency and scalability.
- 6Communicate program status to executive sponsors and stakeholders, providing clear visibility into risks, dependencies, and achievements.
- 7Manage budgets and vendor contracts, ensuring cost optimization through GCP pricing models and resource utilization.
- 8Champion change management by mentoring teams on cloud best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of program management experience in cloud infrastructure or platform services.
- 23+ years managing Google Cloud (GCP) projects, including migrations and modernization.
- 3Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity architectures in GCP.
- 4Proven ability to lead multi-stream programs with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.
- 5Experience with data analytics workloads, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and data pipelines.
- 6Experience in public sector or government contracting, with knowledge of compliance frameworks like FedRAMP.
- 7Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of executive-level reporting.
- 8Appropriate certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
