Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, AWS & CI/CD Automation
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of AWS cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that automate security and deployment for a long-term federal contract in the DMV area. You will lead a team of engineers, review code, and translate architecture standards into working implementations. This role pairs AWS expertise with modern automation tools like CDK and CloudFormation, and it requires a hands-on leader who can drive sprint and design reviews. What You'll Do6
- 1Design and deploy automated CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild to accelerate delivery
- 2Implement infrastructure as code using CDK and CloudFormation to manage cloud resources
- 3Automate security checks and vulnerability scanning within the pipeline using tools like AWS Security Hub and GuardDuty
- 4Lead sprint planning, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- 5Mentor junior engineers on AWS best practices and DevSecOps methodologies
- 6Translate architecture documents into team-level implementation tasks and technical guidance
Requirements6
- 15+ years in DevSecOps or software engineering with a focus on AWS
- 2Hands-on experience with CloudFormation and CDK for infrastructure as code
- 3Strong proficiency in AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
- 4Experience integrating security tools like AWS Security Hub and GuardDuty into CI/CD
- 5Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members
