What You'll Do10
- 1Complete paid OTR training with an experienced trainer for 4-6 weeks before solo driving.
- 2Operate a Class A vehicle on the 14 Western regional lane, covering all states west of the Mississippi.
- 3Deliver primarily no-touch dry van freight, using drop-and-hook methods to minimize loading time.
- 4Manage occasional live load/unload assignments while maintaining on-time delivery schedules.
- 5Average 2,300 miles per week, planning routes and managing hours to meet delivery windows.
- 6Adhere to all safety protocols and Department of Transportation regulations during day and night shifts.
- 7Ensure cargo is secure and properly documented, reporting any issues to dispatch.
- 8Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all company safety policies.
- 9Participate in monthly safety programs to earn bonuses up to $0.06 per mile.
- 10Communicate with dispatch and trainer regularly to ensure smooth operations and training progress.
Requirements8
- 121+ years old with a valid Class A CDL.
- 2Graduate of an accredited truck driving school with 120+ hours of training; new graduates welcome.
- 3Fair driving record: no major accidents, major citations, or license suspensions in the past 5 years.
- 4No DUI in the last 5 years.
- 5No involuntary termination from most recent employment for safety-related reasons.
- 6Provide a 10-year employment history with no major gaps; at least 6 months in the last year or 1 year in the last 3 years.
- 7Pass pre-employment urine and hair drug screens.
- 8Certain criminal convictions may be disqualifying; all offenses are reviewed by safety.
