Overview

The Claims Examiner leads a temporary project to manage workers compensation claims protecting brand while enabling storytelling. You will independently handle occupational injury cases delivering fair timely compliant outcomes for Cast Members. This six month assignment supports corporate risk management without guarantee of extension.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Administer claims from investigation through resolution following California Labor Code and internal guidelines
  • 2Analyze medical reports arrange exams and rate permanent disability
  • 3Communicate with Cast Members physicians attorneys and providers to gather information explain decisions and facilitate care
  • 4Maintain case reserves per California Self-Insurance Plans using analytical skills to evaluate liability
  • 5Oversee vocational rehabilitation benefits focusing on return to employment
  • 6Utilize automated claims systems and paperless tools to document track and manage cases
  • 7Maintain stakeholder contact while demonstrating professional courteous demeanor
  • 8Work within authority seek supervision and guide new hires on claims processes

Requirements11

  • 12+ years administering occupational or workers compensation claims in California
  • 2California Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner designation per state guidelines
  • 3California Self-Insurance Plans Administrator Certification
  • 4Understanding of California Labor Code elements related to workers compensation
  • 5Ability to evaluate liability set reserves and develop action plans
  • 6Proficiency with automated claims management systems paperless document tools and web portals
