Overview
We seek a Certified X-Ray Technologist to join our multi-specialty practice in the Bronx. You will own imaging services at a scale serving diverse patient populations. This role differs by offering competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities.
What You'll Do8
- 1Verify patient identity and review physician orders before initiating x-ray procedures
- 2Operate x-ray equipment to capture high-quality radiographic images of bones tissues and organs
- 3Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
- 4Position patients using safe techniques for individuals with limited mobility
- 5Implement radiation safety protocols using lead shields to minimize exposure
- 6Collaborate with resident radiologists to assess imaging needs
- 7Perform routine maintenance on x-ray equipment and report issues promptly
- 8Maintain detailed records of all imaging procedures
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology radiology or related field
- 2New York State license with ARRT certification preferred
- 3Medical background such as EMT CMA or medical assistant preferred
- 45+ years of hands-on experience in clinical settings
- 5Demonstrated proficiency with digital imaging systems
